04/27/18 Work continues to finalize the packing of the trailer.  Did load a couple of limes for my gin and tonics for relaxing after a long day's drive.  The last few items will be loaded on the morning of our departure.  Our first night will be in Bothell, WA. which is only about a 3.5 hour drive.  Will spend the afternoon there, and have the tires balanced on the trailer.  The following morning we will cross the International Border with our passports, Gracie's rabies shot records and some Canadian money that I got from our bank in advance.  The exchange rate is pretty good and my understanding is that when forking over American bucks some places don't give you a fair exchange rate.  Currently the American dollar is worth about $1.25 Canadian.  I thought I had accounted for all the last minute details but was thrown a curve by the State of Oregon.  Got a letter on Monday notifying me that starting in January of this year and trailer purcha...

Our new trailer

04/02/18  We picked up our new trailer last week in Tacoma, WA.  Then we towed it about 7 miles to Puyallup,WA state fairgrounds and set up house keeping.  The field adjacent to the stadium was a cow pasture and not too level.  We found a spot in the mud and parked.  Set up the trailer and starting unloading and untold number of bags and boxes of stuff we had to put back in our new trailer.  Pots and pans, new dishes, cleaning supplies, camping chairs, etc.  When we ran out of bags from the car, I was able to use the rear view mirror again.  On the trip up, we had so much stuff piled into the back of the car, that the mirror was unusable.  About 8 P.M. that evening, Sue discovered she had left her purse at the dealers, the day before.  Of course they were closed and tomorrow was Sunday.  Which they were closed.  Lo and behold about 9 A.M. we had a visitor.  The owner of the dealership pulled up to our cow pasture site hold...
