Day 22 05/23/18
Nice to be back in the states. Here in Babb, Wyoming at the tip of the glaciers. I did go to the local Black Foot Indian Nation run grocery store. Mostly canned and boxed items with large cooler space, empty. I asked if they were going out of business, but it seems we are still ahead of the tourist season, so no reason to stock the produce and meat counters yet. In spite of selling items at a big profit margin, they were still cheaper by far than the same item in Canada. As we were driving on the Road To The Sun, I remarked to Sue, how may different states license plates we saw in just the first hour. While traveling in Canada for three weeks, we only saw at most 4 different states plates. I guess most travelers are aware of how expensive Canada can be. Or possibly we were still ahead of the crowds. In any event, it is also nice to not have to convert kph to mph on the speedometer.
Enough said. Traveling on the Road to the Sun, amidst all of these glaciers, really takes your breath away. Words fail me as to how to describe the majesty of it all.
Tomorrow, Great Falls.
